AMC Raises $7,000 for Humane Society

The Golden Belt Humane Society recently had to purchase a new air conditioning unit. This unexpected expense was a big hit to one of Animal Medical Center's favorite nonprofit organizations, so the staff at the locally veterinary leader stepped up to organize a fundraiser on July 7th.

Volunteers sold shaved ice and hot dogs, with the clinic matching all shaved ice sales and an anonymous donor matching all hot dog sales. On top of that, several donating individuals and organizations provided cash donations to supplement the food sales. These donors included Michelle Barker, Sheryl Cheely, the Adopt-A-Pet organization, and dozens of families who attended the event.

ew air conditioning unit! “We are thrilled that the event brought so many people together to support the Golden Belt Humane Society,” says Dr. Nels Lindberg, AMC owner. “Raising $7,000 will now allow their staff to operate as planned without having to cut services provided to our communities.”

The new Ellinwood satellite clinic is open Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with appointments for veterinarians from 1-5 p.m. on those days.
