WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT

Prior to your appointment, our groomers will:

  • Verify your pet's basic medical history to ensure your pet's safety and well-being during their appointment.

  • Validate rabies and kennel cough vaccinations. We require each animal to have Rabies, DA2PP, and internasal kennel cough vaccines before their appointment.

  • Following vaccine verifications, our groomers will provide an assessment of your pet and provide you with recommended services.

WHAT WE RECOMMEND FOR PUPPIES

This is what we recommend for Puppies that require any Grooming services:

  • Set up your first Puppy Groom at 16 weeks of age when all Vaccines are on board.

  • After the first appointment, schedule grooming every 4-8 weeks with daily brushing in between.

  • In preparing for the first appointment, work with your pet's ears, tail, paws, nails, etc.

    • Do this to prepare your pup for handling and desensitization

  • Breeds include Poodles, Doodles, Maltese, Shitzu, Yorkie, etc.

  • For any shedding or short-haired dog that doesn't need haircuts, we recommend Bath, Brush & Nail trim with a Deshedding Treatment every 4 weekd during shedding season.

    • This reduces shedding by 90%

  • Refrain from bathing more frequently than every 4 weeks. Doing so can strip the natural oils and can cause irritated skin.

STRESS-FREE GROOMING

Some pets struggle while away from home or being around new people and animals.  We want your pet to have the best experience possible while at our facility.  Our groomers will slow down and take time to help your animal adjust reduce stress.  Sometimes however, some pets benefit greatly from anxiety medications or even tranquilization in order to get them groomed safely and slowly help them acclimate to this schedule.

We have anxiety medications that can be sent home to give before there appointment so the animal is already calm when they arrive or we can provide medication if they become too stressed while here.  We always make sure the animal is healthy enough for these medications prior to administration after an exam from our veterinary staff.  Please ask is for more details.

PET SAFETY

We commit to maintain the cleanest facilities around and your pet's safety is our top priority. And that is why we require each pet to be current on all Rabies, DA2PP, and kennel cough vaccinations prior to an appointment being made.
